The Violet Sector is a FREE multi-player turn based game. Join a legion and battle against other players from all around the world for domination of the galaxy! Strategise and team up with friendly pilots to dominate sectors and hyper to new areas to beat the enemy.

It's simple to pick up and play at any time throughout the game time, and unlike many other similar games you're playing towards a goal - to destroy all enemies! We don't need to reset the game just to allow new players to catch up. The game will only start again when one side dominates!

You can play the game from any computer with internet access or your mobile phone using WAP

Couple of small changes

1. Bunny penalty - no penalty for shooting a bunny in your own base, double the penalty for shooting a bunny in it's base.
2. Overkill damage, this has now been capped so you won't score points for more damage done than the target actually had.
3. Layout of comms send page, if you don't see this change please clear your browser cache.

Should be some coding going on over the first weekend, including possibly an update to the android app (no not comms...soon for them honest!)

6 minute ticks, changes to bomber scoring (but not damage). Few small changes to LC scans. Might be more work done during the game.

Android App

New version has been released on the market.

The requirements are:

2.2 Android
Touchscreen
Portrait screenmode

The permissions required are:

Internet access - For the purposes of loading game pages and registering to receive game alerts.
Vibration control - For the purpose of providing notifications to game alerts.
Receive data - For the purpose of receiving game alerts.

incoming and outgoing scans have been added. More coming soon.

Anyone with the old version of the app installed from TVS v1 should uninstal and the install the new version which can be found at the above link or by searching for "violet sector" in the market.
